THIS CHRONOLOGY, THIS SAGA OF SPECIAL NAMES AND PEOPLE HAS BEEN A LONG TIME COMING.   THE EXTENDED FAMILY, SOMETIMES HAPPY THINGS, SOMETIMES CRAPPY. FOR ME  IT ALL STARTED WITH THE "AVALON STOMP". Well everybody, I have recently been to my brother-in-law's 70th birthday celebration, full stop. Full of food and embrocation was the rule of the day. You know you are getting old(er) when he turns (1) older than you. You know you are getting older when you forget the kids names at an inopportune(?) time. The following names, in no particular fashion, are the extended family, There are the Weterkamps, the Clarksons, the Lewis family, the Barry-Cotters, the Freestones, the Robinsons, the Carpenters, the Farleys. In early 1960 a family of 2 brothers and 3 sisters moved from Young TO THE BIG SMOKE. This was the Clarkson clan. At about the same time another family known as the Barry-Cotters had moved from the same small country town, (renowned for the cherry harvest and gold fields). The Lewis family were residing in Mona Vale, northern beaches Sydney. The one lone Farley, like me, had joined Avalon Beach Surf Club in 1956. So we have the Clarksons; Lindsey, Peter, Betty, Rowie and Shirley. The Lewis Family is represented by Vic lewis. The Barry-Cotter bloke is Kerry. Betty became a Barry-Cotter, Rowie became a Weterkamp, Shirley became a Farley. Peter married Diane, Lindsey married....... This is an abridged version of and a small descripton about my extended family. Of course there were the parents of the sons and daughters, all great people. So now we list the names of the proginey, the little tackers, and all great people they grew to be, love them all dearly. Betty and Kerry had; Mark, Suzanne and Grant, (mad dog), Dawn and Vic had; Sue, (Bobby), Stephen, and Karen. Rowie and John had: Katy, (sloops), John Roger, (JR) and Natalie, (nat, hey nat), Peter and Dianne had: Brad and......... Shirley and Me had; David, (dayday) and Michael, (frank). Along came the  Carpenters, the Robinsons, the Freestones, the Lace family, Leon's surname, (bugger). So Katy had; Tom, Ellie and little jack, Nat and Sharon had; Eli and Ned, John and Sam had: Charlie and Billy. Stephen and ......... had Amy. Karen and Leon had; Gemma, Sarah and Joshua. Susie and Adam had: Tobie and Jade, Mark and Sue had: Aiden and Conner. Brad and Liz had Hayden and Cody. And you wonder how an old fart forgets names. There are several gaps here, Lindsey Clarkson, (kids names? Wife? What day is it. Someone in the family needs to get a family tree going, actually it's more like a forest. I am happy to contribute.
